Hi everyone, I hope you´re all well, in this blog I will talk about certain changes that should be made to the curriculum of public administration career.
First of all, in consideration to the subjects that are taught, I think that most of them are well adapted and contribute correctly to achieve a nuanced educational formation of political and social aspects which are required for the career of public administration, along with, obviously, aspects related to the realm of public management. However, there are certain subjects and contents of these subjects that aren´t of great relevance or even null for what will be our job performance, and in general our profesion, such as some mathematics knowledge, some epistemology content, and also the free and cfg courses, which I think should be optional.
Second, about the
workload and length of studies, there isn´t much I can say, because this is my
first year and although I imagine how demanding the face-to-face classes must
be based on my past university experience, I don't know it exactly, besides I
think that the online classes are easier than the face-to-face modality, not in
terms of subjects, but in the evaluation methods.
With respect to
our faculty I don´t know it yet, but I have heard from students and teachers
that it is very small and isolated from other faculties of the university.
Finally, in
attention to the tecnology and teaching methods, I think it is good that
teachers use technology to develop their classes in a better way, although it
is necessary that all this is done in a face-to-face modality, although the
pandemic has taught both students and teachers to adapt to new methods based on
technology, the online modality isn´t enough for a complete formation.
the building in your picture is the previous building, the current building used to be part of the Arcis University and it is nice :)
